wonky carton was born to the wintry pulses of January 2011. The blog’s initial impulse was to cover alt, electro and Joy Orbison – the soundtrack of university – but in the austere, post-post-industrial landscape of London.Berlin.Oxford, the carton’s foundlings fled to pastures new. They developed an enlightened consciousness of all forms electronica and, inspired by the jabs of cutting synths, began to write, feverishly.
Away from the fairy tales, though, wonky carton seeks to promote music which we consider important. Music which breaks ground. Music which should be heard more often, by more people. Music which does the simple things well, and the hard things even better. Music which moves feet. Music, ultimately, that is dynamic.
